ITALIAN RENAISSANCE
A journey through time
It was at the end of the 14th century that the Renaissance was born, inherited from antique classicism. This artistic current imbued with modernity and freedom embodied by emblematic and humanist personalities such as Michelangelo or Leonardo da Vinci places human beings and perspective at the center of their Art.
The splendor of the silk tapestries embroidered with gold or silver threads from this period inspire the Raynaud company, which joins forces, for its new engraved collection, with the English brand Lincrusta, renowned since 1877 for its incredible wall coverings with opulent and deep embossing.
This collaboration, which superbly combines the delicacy of porcelain and the know-how of a master upholsterer, is the embodiment of a unique artisanal know-how where excellence is sublimated.
The “Italian Renaissance” collection, with poetic and sensual accents, is an ode to femininity. It is made up of around thirty pieces in which the delicate arabesques of the design are intertwined. It required particularly meticulous and careful work, carried out on plaster by hand, and required many hours of work in the modeling workshops to sculpt, engrave and tame this sumptuous vegetal motif.
This elegant engraving is then illuminated with matte pearl and moiré colors, and platinum or gold precious metals majestically sublimating the refinement of the motif.
